Fall has come in Denmark and it is a welcome change. The sweaters are coming out and the long walks have started. We(family) hit Dyrehaven north of Copenhagen this weekend.
Fall in the art world has been here for a while, but I haven’t really seen anything yet - since Berlin. I read the Patricia Asbæb(of Galleri Asbæk) interview on Copenhagen.dk and I wish they would start editing. The answers make Patricia seem overly selfcentered and as if it was her work only that the Berlin Art Forum has become a succesful fair(in her words). The interviews becom too long and boring and not worth reading, because the directly transcripted answers belong in conversation, not in print, it is needed that they edit them down. It was cool when they didn’t have staff, but the concept doesn’t work any more.
I hope to see the Barry Schwabsky curated show at Galleri Asbæk and I hope it is really bad, because the title, Everybody knowes This is Nowhere, sounds 1998 and makes me feel a bit like vomitting.

What a fucking amazing show.
It is inspirrering to watch such amazingly good musicians perform. The music creep sunder my skin and slowly takes my up in to the air, throwing me around like a baton twirled by the sexiest ever beagle.
The music is gentle so hard core and so well put together it gives me the willies. The only turn off was some piano that sounded too much like Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto no. 1. Dum dum dim etc.
But it was nothing. It was by far the best concert in copenhagen this year - and I know cause I haven’t seen any other shows.
Thay rock!
This weekend was way to much to write on monday. I try, but I am not good at this blogging thing. I intend to keep it up though.
Thursday, Troels and I headed out and drove to Berlin. Mikkel gave up, too much work with Norse. We got to Berlin and went straight to Preview, to meet up with Jesper and Gitte and the rest of the crew from V1. Kasper Sonne was there and Nina Beier and a bunch of the Danish art peeps. Including collectors Jens Peter Brask - who by the way is a 24 fan(josh josh) - and Jesper Stihler. JP got to buy a Dan Colen piece the next day, Jesper Stihler didn’t. On his request I begged javier to let him get one, saying that he was best friends with my older sister —- hah —- he was boyfriend girlfriend with her best friend in highschool 20 some years ago….. Anyway I hope he got one, Dans work is awesome, and the show was by far the best in Berlin that weekend. I din’t see everything, toomuch. arrgggh—–I am juan conholio.. .rrrhr rhrhh .. need tp for my bung hoe… rrhhhh —-too much art. There was some stuff I liked more than others, but off course.
I like my little instalation. Jesper cut at circle in the carpet, so my little sculptures could stand on the floor. Sweet. In retrospect and had I been there, maybe I had opted for 3 square cut outs instead. The circle seemed at bit misplaced and out of contex with the sculptures. Anyway I was super glad to be there and be part of it. I think that the Preview fair was excellent and more interesting than art Forum. I guess it should be. The best at Art Forum was Folkert De Jong - crazy ass fucking cool instalation sculpture piece thing. Cool details, crazy crap and awesome use of materials - I haven’t even gotten around to thinking about what it all was. Overwhelmingly awesome.
Thursday was the Preview opening. Friday was Art Forum, but more importantly dinner at Paris Bar. Javier invited all Dans entourage, some buyers and collectors curators and what not for an amazing dinner at Paris Bar. Well I was drunk before the Steak Frites, but the wine was good and the company amazing. BRuce Bailey was taking Dans parents by storm all the while Dan was moving around talking to everybody and enjoying the attention. It was nicemeeting everybody again. I hardly get to seem them any more and Terrence and Ben I only met briefly in Miami last year.
bla balb bal afterwards we went to some place of a twelth floor called weekend, but the Bruces and left the dinner as the last ones and I never saw anybody again except Nick who kept me from getting thrown out. Danny B got dissed by some chick, and wanted to leave, so we skipped party and went to bed. I think.
Saturday was the opening, good fun, great show, and party - i heard. I never made it to the after party. We went out for Indian food. It was good and it was late, so we went home and made it towards Copenhagen early sunday. Yeah
